A personal message from Coach Jill, Team Program Director:
"I am a former level 10 gymnast and Jose Gaspar Award recipient. Having spent the majority of my life involved in the sport, I have had my share of ups and downs. However, these battles and triumphs only strengthen my passion for gymnastics and for my team Having come from a gym where the culture was to break the gymnasts down with negative reinforcement in order to "win", I refuse to pass that on to my gymnasts. I believe that coaches are not only coaches but also teachers and more importantly, roll models to these impressionable children. I have a responsibility to not only train my gymnasts to reach their highest potential but to also teach them core values such as, the value of hard work, perseverance, determination, honor, loyalty and how to fall and get back up again. THESE are the personality traits of a champion, inside the gym and outside the gym.
I invite you to come see what a faith-based gymnastics team that believes in discipline, hard work, positive reinforcement, team work AND having fun looks like. We are helping out girls grow into young ladies who are confident, not only in themselves as gymnasts, but in all aspects of their lives.
